Message: Happy Birthday Diane!

Panda Land

Ni how everybody!
We have now arrived in Leshan, in Sichuan province, home of the Giant Buddha. At an astounding 71m, it is the tallest in the world and if the mist would clear, we would even be able to see it!!
We have just finished sorting the latest photos which are of some nice memories of our road-side meetings: the Friendship Rally of English classic cars (from London to Sydney), Jacques a retired gentleman walking from Xian to Emei Shan and a group of colourful Chinese cyclo-tourists. Our paths all crossed in China ...
We also went to see the magnificent Giant Pandas in Chengdu; just as lazy as they are cute.

New photos are here

Tomorrow, we leave for the sacred mountain of Emei Shan, then the road South.
Thanks as ever for all the messages and emails.
